Privacy Policy & Data Retention Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Privacy by Default
BIKENTRY is engineered with strict privacy defaults. When you register a bicycle, e-bike, or motorcycle, your primary email address, mobile phone number, exact residential address, purchase price, and uploaded ownership documents are strictly shielded from public view.
2. Automated Photo Metadata Scrubbing
When you upload bicycle photos, our server strips EXIF metadata (including embedded GPS latitude/longitude coordinates and camera hardware identifiers) before storing and displaying public images.
3. Serial Number Masking
To deter fraudulent duplicate claims and serial scraping, public scan profiles mask frame serial numbers by default (e.g. ••••••4821). Owners retain full control to toggle this in their vehicle settings.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Registered owners have the absolute right to export a complete machine-readable JSON archive of all personal records and vehicle logs via their profile settings. Account deletion requests can be submitted through the dashboard and are processed in accordance with our documented retention timeline. Anonymized QR scan events are automatically pruned after 90 days.
